Scott Underhill serves at St. Georges as Deacon since he was ordained in May 2009. Deacon Scott received a BS in Civil Engineering in 1991 and a MS in Environmental Engineering in 1993, both from the University of Buffalo. He is a registered professional engineer in New York and currently works as a project manager for AECOM in Latham, NY.
With a passion for serving the less fortunate, Scott serves as the Deacon for Mission and Outreach. Since ordination, he has done numerous trips both domestically and internationally, having travelled to Boston, Washington D.C., Haiti and Panama. Locally, his work involves a soup kitchen in Albany, working with the Burmese refugees relocated to the Albany area, and working with the YWCA of Schenectady to provide transitional housing to families of domestic violence, the latter of which is done through a not-for-profit organization named White Stone Gateway that Scott is the president and co-founder.
Scott lives in Clifton Park with his wife Lynne. They have three children together.
