St. Francis Mission
Vestry member for Outreach: Joy Blanchet

We have a special request for necessary funding prior to St George’s budget completion. St Francis Mission of Albany directly supports an Asian Anglican Church educating and providing care to over 200 children and their families. Because of politics, the children and families are refugees (defined- one who flees to escape danger or persecution.)

Local Episcopal Priest, Fr. James Brisbin who works at the US component of the mission on Clinton Ave, Albany, will travel to the Burma-Thailand border mission.  Our own Deacon Scott Underhill will substitute for Fr. Brisbin for the next eight weeks.  In the next several days we are hoping to raise $1000 as a special component of our Outreach Ministry to support Fr. Brisbin and the school in this mission.  Your prayers and donations, as you are able, are greatly appreciated. Joy Blanchet, Vestry member for Outreach.

Contributions may be put in the plate on Saturday or Sunday OR they can be mailed with "Special Mission Offering" in the memo to St. George's Church 912 Route 146 Clifton Park, NY 12065. It is our intention that anything raised above $1,000 will be used to help fund our continuing mission support for similar programs in Haiti and the Dominican Republic. Thanking you in advance for your generosity.
