A little more information about attending St. George's:

1. All services last approximately one hour.

2. There is no dress code. Dress as you like. 

3. Children are MOST welcome. We have a nursery (on Sunday for 9:00 and 11:30 services) for children 5 years of age and younger, but they are welcome in all services as well.

The Tim Olsen Band in Concert

Thursday, April 27th at 7:00 p.m.

St. George's Sanctuary

St. George's Episcopal Church is sponsoring a jazz concert by the six-piece Tim Olsen Band on Thursday, April 26 at 7:00 in the sanctuary. Proceeds from this event will benefit the renovation of the church's Music Room.

 

This isd a family friendly eventr.  Advance tickets are $15 for adults, $5 for children 10 and under, with a family maximum of $40 (for parents and children living in one household). Tickets will be available at the door as well: $20 for adults, $10 for children, and no family maximum. Call the St. George's Office at (518) 371-6351 for information or to purchase tickets.  Tickets will also be on sale in Hatlee Hall during coffee hour.

Tim Olsen is active as composer, performer, and educator. Associate Professor of Music at Union College, Olsen teaches courses in American and world music cultures and directs the Union College Jazz Ensemble. Olsen earned the D.M.A in composition from Yale University and was a 1990 Fulbright Fellow at the Royal Danish Conservatory of Music in Copenhagen. Olsen has served as Director of Music/Choirmaster at St. George's Episcopal Church in Clifton Park since 2011. In 2015 Olsen released his first recording, Creature of Habit, a collection of nine original jazz compositions performed by the Tim Olsen Band.

Joining Tim on April 27th are Eric Walentowicz, sax; Steve Lambert, trumpet; Rick Rosoft, trombone; Pete Toigo, bass; and Pete Sweeny, drums.
