Thy Kingdom Come - Light Up the World in Prayer May 14th - 24th
Thy Kingdom Come is a global ecumenical prayer movement that invites Christians around the world to pray from Ascension Day to Pentecost for more people to come to know Jesus. It is a concentrated time together to pray for the coming of the Holy Spirit.
St. George’s will participate in the “555 Prayer Challenge.” During the ten day period between Ascension and Pentecost we will each pray at 5:00 pm for 5 people for 5 minutes. The purpose is to recognize God’s love for the whole world and his offer of salvation for everyone.

Prayer for the Parish of St. George's
Lord, we give you thanks and praise for this parish of St. George’s. You have seen us through many joys and blessings as well as times of trial and tribulation. Thank you for bringing us to this present day.
Inspire us, lead us, and guide us in this time of transition. Direct us in your ways so that the individual you are raising up to be our priest will find a community working together to live out St. George’s mission statement; to be a community of disciples joyfully reaching out in love to nurture, teach, and heal in Jesus’ name.
We ask for your protection over our leadership team, the St. George’s community, deacons, and its ministries. Help us to be thankful for our many blessings and to also have the humility to see our sins so we might repent and correct our ways without hesitation or delay.
May our eyes and hearts be open during this time of transition to seek your desires, your will first. Inspire us as we move into each new day, week, month, and year. We yearn to be the church you are calling us to be - a light set on a hill, a living witness to the difference Jesus Christ can make in a community.
We ask all this in the name of Jesus Christ, our Lord. Amen.
