The changing of the seasons means colder weather is ahead. Your outreach team has planned a project for October - collecting men’s winter pajamas, underwear, and large socks for the male guests at the Capital City Rescue Mission. Your donations should be new. Warm men’s sleep pants and long sleeve tee shirts, any size, with large socks would be a perfect combination. Or provide a pair of warm pajamas and large socks, or simply a pack of men’s underwear. Any combination will be used and appreciated.

Can you imagine living on the street and sleeping in the cold? The Capital City Rescue mission provides a respite for men living on the street in Albany. Every man who spends a night at the mission is given a warm bed, a shower, nutritious food, new underwear, socks, and pajamas. Their constant need is men’s underwear (Size M, L, XL, XXL), and LARGE men’s socks. With the cooler seasons ahead, there will also be a need for men’s winter pajamas (M, L, XL and XXL).

From October 5th through the 20th, there will be a bin in the narthex and a bin in Hatlee Hall to collect donations. Please help provide some comfort to some of our most needy neighbors.
